Mama needs something special. Here’s a bit of what we want, and what our mom will get.
The Homemade Gin Kit
This gift is for the woman who is part crafting goddess, part nuclear physicist. The kit comes with everything you need to make gin but the vodka. And once the homemade gin is gone, (and it will be quickly) she’ll have two lovely bottles and some handy equipment left over. Before you know it, mom could be moonshining it in basement.
The Mason Shaker
A few weeks ago we posted about this incredible Mason Shaker and we haven’t stopped talking about it. We’ve tested out lots (and lots) of cocktails using the shaker and this is a piece a equipment that your mom would be crazy not to like. Especially if you figure out a way to wrap it when it’s already filled with a cocktail.
True Fabrication Wine Chillers
You could spend from now until Sunday exploring this company’s website. We’ll never forgot when we first discovered one of their snarky wine gift bags in the supermarket and bought the last five on the rack. These wine chillers will keep mom’s white wine cold which will keep her happy which will only get more important as you get older. True fabrications also sells a variety of aerators, which always makes a great gift.

OM Organic Cocktails
Organic Mixology (OM) was the company to bring us the world’s first USDA certified organic prepared cocktails. Read our interview with their creator and mixologist here, then pick up a bottle of each flavor. The glass bottle itself is so attractive that your mom will be sure to find other uses for it long after the cocktail is gone.
Picnic Time Chardonnay Basket
Every woman needs a picnic basket in her house. Even if it’s used once in her life, it’s so civilized and romantic. And when you give it to that special mom (actual mom, mother of your children, MIL) in your life, you are sending her a message to relax, to take care of herself, and to run barefoot in the grass with her hair down. For extra brownie points stock it with chilled wine and lots of little goodies like artisan crackers, gourmet olives and cheeses, and of course, chocolate.
Food Map Design Herb Garden
If mom is currently enjoying the craft cocktail scene as much as you are, she may also enjoy starting up her own herb garden to feed that inner mixologist. We have one and love it. The white coloring doesn’t exactly scream mother nature (hoping they come out with a green tint soon), but the tub drains well and has wheels, which means we can move to the sunshine and out of torrential rains.
KitchenAid 5-Speed Hand Blender
A great blender comes in handy over the summer months when mom’s cocktail of choice is a blended daiquiri, margarita, or mudslide. I’m guessing that KitchenAid doesn’t include a small recipe book of cocktails, but that’s why you’ve got us.
Personalized Wine Glass Charms
Imagine the expression on mom’s face when she opens this gift. The first thought to go through her head will be that she can’t believe you took the time to make them. The second thought will be about how considerate you are to remember that she’s always losing her wine. You never have to tell her that you did not make these charms and that you got them so she’ll stop stealing your wine.
Potter Barn Monogrammed Martini Shaker
These steel-made martini shakers hold up to 20 ounces of fluids and for a few extra bucks you can get that mom tattoo you never had the courage to put on your body. Monogram it onto the shaker instead and display your love for your mom every time you get off the phone with her and find yourself making a reeeeallly strong drink.
Happy Mother’s Day!!!
