New Year, New You, right?

During one of our recent partnerships with 1915 Organic we were introduced to Playlist Yoga in West Hollywood, California. Have you been? If the answer is yes, then you know that this place is AMAZING!

Basically, Playlist Yoga has turned yoga on its head by pumping beats into the studio while you do your yoga thang. The sound system is incredible. Think dance club in Las Vegas in your favorite yoga pants. While I was there, Beyonce’s beats were pulsing through the building with an intensity only matched by long held Adho Much Svanasana. If you’re a Soul Cycle devotee on the brink of bicycle burnout, you should definitely sub in one of these workouts every now and then just to change things up without losing intensity and workout vibe that you love. (Unfortunately there’s only one location for now, but I’m guessing you’ll see this fitness business popping up all over the country.)

After the sweat came the refreshments, courtesy of 1915 Organic Juices and Smoothies. I made two big batches of two of my favorite drinks: the famous Farmarita, and the non-alcoholic Strawberry Fields. Needless to say they were a hit with these gorgeous babes too.

Farmarita
4 ounces 1915 Bolthouse Farms Grapefruit juice
1 ounce silver tequila
½ ounce grapefruit liqueur
¼ ounces simple syrup
Raspberry garnish
Himalayan salt
Lime

Directions
Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Run a lime around the rim of the glass to moisten, then dip the glass into a shallow layer of Himalayan salt. Gently shake off the excess. Fill the glass with ice, then strain the mixture into the glass. Garnish with strawberries and serve.

1915 Strawberry Fields Cocktail
2.5 ounces 1915 Strawberry juice
2 ounces vanilla cream soda (I used Henry Wenhard’s brand)
½ ounce raspberry cinnamon simple syrup
¼ ounce lemon juice
Strawberry & lemon garnish

Raspberry Cinnamon Simple Syrup

1 cup water
1 cup sugar
1 cup fresh organic raspberries
2 cinnamon sticks

Bring contents to a boil over medium heat. Reduce heat to low and simmer for 10 – 20 minutes, or until liquid has the consistency of syrup. Remove from the heat and pour the ingredient through a strainer. Allow to cool before using in your drink.

Directions
Combine the 1915 Strawberry juice, raspberry cinnamon simple syrup, and lemon juice in a martini shaker. Shake well to mix, then add the vanilla cream soda. Gently stir inside the shaker, then transfer to a rock glass filled with ice. Garnish with a strawberry and lemon and serve.

    Love this !! You work hard on those abs in a great Fitness Place (like Playlist Yoga), then REFRESH !!
