THIS GIRL WALKS INTO A BAR was founded in 2010 by sisters Jordan Catapano and Jocelyn Dunn Muhlbach. Their books, This Girl Walks Into a Bar: A Women’s Guide to Professional Bartending and Home Mixology, This Girl Minds Her P’s & Q’s: An Etiquette Handbook for Dinner Parties, Restaurants, and Bars, and Cocktails for Cougars and Cowgirls: Simple and Delicious Recipes for Every Woman provide the inspiration for their hit blog. Jordan and Jocelyn’s books are available online and in bookstores. Their blog content has lead them into work developing custom recipes and editorial contributions to magazines and online publications, and most recently helped launch their successful bartending service.
Jordan Catapano, co-owner of THIS GIRL WALKS INTO A BAR, has had long experience as a professional bartender and private mixologist. She has shared her recipes and entertaining tips on Good Day LA, Good Morning Arizona, Fox News, CBS News at Noon, and KUSI. Jordan has also contributed her cocktail expertise to several magazines and online publications including Woman’s World Magazine, Self Magazine, Town and Country, BUST, PBS Food, Domino, The Huffington Post, Saveur Magazine, The Sacramento Bee, and The Bellingham Herald, and developed cocktail recipes for companies such as Deep Eddy vodka, Bolthouse Farms, BevMo!, Dole, Tabasco, Gallo Wine, Patrón Tequila, Dry Soda, Thermador, 1915 Organic, and Caesarstone.
Jocelyn Dunn Muhlbach, is THIS GIRL WALKS INTO A BAR's co-owner and graphic designer. She creates and maintains the company’s brand image and produces all artwork for their website, marketing materials, and books. As a freelance designer and art director she has produced work for a wide array of clients, including Disney, Westfield, Princess Cruises, E!, Shine360°, Pottery Barn, Dreamworks, Mattel, The Grammys, UCLA, USC, and The Manhattan Beach Education Foundation.
