It's the dead of winter and we're on a whiskey kick. High proof, low proof, flavored, rye, unaged...the list goes on and on. But let's keep it super simple with this delicious, slightly sweet cocktail.
2 ounces Basil Hayden's 80 proof bourbon whiskey
1 ounce Heilala Vanilla Syrup
1 ounce soda water
Mix the bourbon and the vanilla well with a little whisk or spoon. Add the soda, then the ice. Toss in a twist of lemon if desired.
