We were so happy to be included in a fantastic event on Friday night in honor of National Rum Day, hosted by Shellback Rum and Tony Abou-Ganim, three time Iron Chef winner and author of Modern Mixology: Making Great Cocktails at Home. Shellback pulled out all the stops with a mouth watering spread of snacks, a welcome bar with Abou-Ganim’s tasty rum punch, a comfy lounge, and place settings for all guests stocked with ingredients and tools for Abou-Ganim’s mixology lesson and demo. Starting with a rum tasting (silver & spiced), our taste buds were prepped and ready for three exciting cocktails: A clementine mojito, an apple cocktail, and our very own original (and experimental) concoctions. We poured, squeezed, muddled, sliced, stirred, and shook our way to a fun and lively evening with Shellback. Nothing like a great night with my sis, some cocktails, and 100 iphone selfies!
