Thursday night private mixology lesson with your besties anyone? Our dear friend Karina co-hosted just that — a lively get-together with close friends (some of whom she's known since grade school), to learn how to make some simple and delicious cocktails à la This Girl Walks Into A Bar. Held at Karina's friend's exquisite home in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Cheviot Hills (lucky us!), this group of women learned how to make three easy and festive cocktails: A sparkling cocktail, perfect for serving at the beginning of the night, a raspberry mint cocktail, a blackberry ginger cocktail, and a coffee cocktail. Try these recipes yourselves and let us know what you think! Sparkling Cocktail 1/8 teaspoon fresh lemon juice 1 teaspoon orange liqueur (triple sec, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Gran Gala) 4-5 ounces Brut (or your favorite sparkling wine)
Raspberry Mint Cocktail ¼ cup fresh organic raspberries ¼ cup fresh organic mint leaves 2 ounces homemade sweet and sour 1.5 – 2 ounces vodka
Blackberry Ginger Cocktail ½ cup fresh organic blackberries 1 ounce homemade ginger simple syrup 1.5 – 2 ounces vodka
Coffee Cocktail 1 packet Starbucks Via (decaf) 1 ounce coffee liqueur (Tia Maria, Dos Santos, Kahlua, Patron XO, Patron Café XO) ½ ounce half and half
