Today's original drink was specifically made for the accompanying post by guest blogger Ragan Wallake Brooks from Beauty in the Bite. We wanted to make a drink that would incorporate some of the same flavors from her delicious prosciutto cups and compliment it at the same time. We're in love with this drink and Ragan's tasty & creative appetizer, and now know what we'll be serving before dinner this Saturday night!
It's a Little Surprise 1.5 ounces gin 2-3 drops Tabasco Family Reserve 1 teaspoon organic agave syrup 1/2 ounce lemon juice 1 ounce grapefruit juice 2 fresh basil leaves
Directions In a martini shaker, muddle the basil leaves in the gin until the gin has a slight green hue. Don't over muddle…just a little gentle pressing. Strain the gin into a new shaker, then add the Tabasco, agave, and grapefruit juice. Shake well with ice, then strain into a tumbler or petite martini glass. Serve with a basil garnish.
