Halloween Drinks: Scary Mary Cocktail Recipe

Halloween is on a Friday night this year which means that partying will go long and late. Well gosh dang'it you've got nothing to worry about because one Scary Mary cocktail the next morning will fix EVERYTHING. Don't believe in "the hair of the dog?" It doesn't matter. This drink will still make you feel better because it's so seriously good. Yes- it's a twist on the traditional Bloody Mary but with more fall spirit than a pumpkin patch. The secret ingredient? California black olives of course, who we partnered with to bring you some dynamite October drinks like this one and the Black Widow Elixir. Can we just talk about how much more fun Halloween is as an adult? Waaaaay more, right?

Scary Mary

Scary Mary Cocktail Recipe 6 ounces carrot juice 2 ounces vodka infused with chives 1 ounce California black olive brine 1 tablespoon chopped fresh chives 1⁄4 teaspoon Tabasco 1 tablespoon horseradish 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce 1⁄2 ounce lemon juice Salt & pepper to taste California olives, chives, and carrots to garnish

Directions In a shaker, muddle the chives in the vodka until the vodka has a slight green hue. Strain the vodka into a new martini shaker or a measuring pitcher, and add the carrot juice, California black olive brine, Tabasco sauce, horseradish, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, and salt & pepper to taste. Mix well, then pour it into a highball filled with ice. Garnish with California black olives and serve.
